Downton Abbey Cupcakes

I love projects that I get to be totally original with.   With all the cupcakes, cakes, decoration techniques, etc. out there, it is really fun to make something that you know is your own.  If it happens to be on the theme of a show you are currently addicted to, so much the better!

I made these for a client who was having a party for the Season 3 finale of Downton Abbey.  She requested the pearls and feathers, but the uniforms were 100% my creation 🙂

Cherry Almond Cupcakes

My quest for the best cupcake recipes out there continues!  These are delicious and very summery.  Cherry almond cake with cherry almond buttercream frosting.  The best part – the cherry hidden inside!

Here they are ready to go into the oven:

Here they are all baked and frosted.  So yummy!!!

Crazy for White Chocolate Blueberry!

I tried a new recipe a while ago: white chocolate cupcakes with blueberry filling and white chocolate blueberry icing.  They are SO good!  Since then, I’ve had nothing but blueberry orders!!  My kids and I have been busy picking – we have over 20 lbs of blueberries in our chest freezer, all ready for future orders.

For Birthday Wishes – Disney Cars and Hello Kitty.

These chocolate cupcakes with raspberry filling are going to two little ones turning 2 at another party by Birthday Wishes.  The little man likes Disney Cars, the girl Hello Kitty.  The toppers are modeling choclate (yes the whiskers took forever!).  Mike did a great job piping all the frosting on these! 🙂

Sprout Baby Shower

There is a new little sprout in my family!  My cousin is having a baby.  What better theme for a spring baby shower than cabbage patch?  To make it better – they are moving to Brussels – making their baby – wait for it – a Brussel Sprout!  (Disclaimer the rest of my family came up with that pun. I can’t/won’t take credit!)
